what is demin water?
Demin water is water that contains no impurities due to them being removed after being ran through a bed of resin - the resin dissolves all of the ionic products found in the mains water network.
The process named deionisation removes the Ionics from the water through Ion exchange where cations (positively charged ions) such as; Iron, calcium, sodium & copper are exchanged for hydrogen & anions like chloride & sulphate (negatively charged ions) are exchanged for hydroxyl creating demineralised water.
storing demin water
Demin water can be stored in the same ways a drinking water, we can either discharge it directly into your production or into a holding tank however, because Demin water has had majority of it's ions removed, it will damage any metal tank so it is best to store it in tanks made out of stainless steel instead.
